Lonzone 100g sliced
This speciality has been produced following traditional methods with only the best quality pigs from the Marche used. The loin is cut with the fat and the rind still attached. The whole piece is then salted, covered in green and black pepper and a touch of grated nutmeg and is then tied up with string. It is left to dry slowly for a long time.

The Lonzone has a deep pink and a flavour that manages to be both intense but delicate. It is ideal to serve on its own with a splash of balsamic vinegar, or try it with some Chilli Pepper Jam (see our Jams & Chutneys section).

About the Producer
The Salumificio del Conero are a group of artisan butchers and meat curers with a wealth of experience. They pride themselves on using only the finest quality pigs, all from the Marche region, but many from their own livestock. Their salamis and other meats are produced using closely guarded traditional recipes that have survived for generations.
