Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept credit card payment with Visa and MasterCard.

Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Some products, such as cheeses, are sold by weight and are cut freshly to order. We will endeavour to cut the piece as closely as possible to the ordered weight, but there will inevitably be some variation. As a result, your final order value may vary from the amount stated on the order acknowledgement received and you will be charged for the exact weight of the product sent to you.

Shipping And Handling
Delivery is charged at £6.95 for mainland UK. For information of delivery charges to non UK-mainland destinations, please contact us.

Fresh foods, such as cheeses and cured meats, will be wrapped with ice packs to maintain a cool temperature for at least 24 hours. Fragile items, such as bottles and jars will be wrapped in protective packaging.

Delivery Schedule
Goods will be dispatched from Monday to Thursday by courier. Delivery usually takes 1-2 days. Orders received after 12pm on Thursdays will be sent out the following Monday. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days and will email you when the order has been sent. Please note that all packages should arrive between 9am and 5pm and must be signed for, so we advise taking delivery at a business premises if necessary. This is especially important for deliveries of chilled goods. We cannot accept responsibility for goods that have been instructed to be left unsigned by the customer.

Back Orders
Many of our suppliers are small-scale, artisan producers: therefore all products are subject to availability. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK 17.5% VAT is included where applicable.

Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. Everything you buy from us is dispatched in the best possible condition. Claims for damages or shortages must be made within three working days of receiving the order. If you are not fully satisfied with your goods you have the right to return them to us within 7 days of the delivery date, provided they are not perishable and are returned to us in the same condition in which they were sent.
The cost of returning the goods to us will be paid by the customer. We will give a full refund for goods (not including delivery) that are returned, within 30 days from the date of cancellation
